What are the underwater caves in Horizon Forbidden West? ›

Sunken Caverns are locations in Horizon Forbidden West where substantial amounts of Greenshine can be found. Many require the Diving Mask to complete. To complete the caverns, Aloy must collect all the available greenshine within. There are generally no enemies within the caverns.

The Daunt is located in what the Old Ones called Zion National Park in Utah.

If you have the quest activated, you will see the marker directing you to the underwater ruin. Dive underwater and pry open the door. Swim through and pry open the door you see on the left. Then go through another door on your left and examine the security console.

If you swim around all the way to the western side of the area there's a little hole you can get through. Swim outside the base, the long way around the curve. There is a hard to spot gap in the wall you can swim into, leading to the 4th building of the Greenhouse.

Where to get the Horizon Forbidden West Diving Mask. Aloy unlocks the diving mask while looking for the Poseidon AI in the Sea of Sands quest. Aloy meets three characters who want to get an object underwater, but it's too deep to reach.
