Despicable Me 4 will pick up where the last movie, 2017's Despicable Me 3, left off.
The official logline for the fourth installment of the hit animated film franchise reads: 'Gru welcomes a new member to the family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad.'
The plot twist continues as 'their peaceful existence soon comes crashing down when criminal mastermind Maxime Le Mal escapes from prison and vows revenge against Gru.'
For Despicable Me 4, Carell will reprise his voice role as Gru.

Sofia Vergara will also be voice acting in the movie as a character named Valentina while Fineman will be Patsy Prescott.
Dana Gaier will reprise her role as Edith and Pierre Coffin will once again portray the voice of the Minions.
Despicable Me 4 will receive a theatrical release in the United States on July 3, 2024.
